Intro: Paul speaks to King Agrippa. The only one free is the one in chains (Paul) Acts 26:2 and Acts 26:29.
I. To become a Christian one must be convinced about Christ, Acts 26:22-23.
A. A Christian must be convinced of Christ’s voluntary death, Hebrews 10:5-7. Isaiah 53:10.
              John 10:17-18.
B. A Christian must be convinced of Christ’s vicarious (suffered in place of another) death,
              Isaiah 53:6. 2 Corinthians 5:21.
C. A Christian must be convinced of Christ’s victorious resurrection. 
   First to rise and First to proclaim salvation, Acts 26:23.
II. To become a Christian one must be convicted by Christ, Acts 26:17-18.
A. Conviction is not simply admitting you are a sinner, Acts 26: 26-28.
B. Conviction is not simply feeling sorry for what your sins have done.
C. Conviction is understanding that you have offended God, Psalm 51:4.
III. To become a Christian one must be converted to Christ.
A. Conversion will show itself in your walk, Acts 26:18-20.
B. Conversion will show itself in your talk, Acts 26:25-26.
Personal:
1. Can NOT remain neutral.
2. Can you conceive you have done something wrong?
3. The Spirit of God is knocking, Acts 26:27-28.

The time is now to make a decision for Christ.

Intro: Procrastination- thief of time! The sin of procrastination has damned many souls to hell.
I. The truth that convicted him, Acts 24:24-25.
A. Paul preached about righteousness - God’s standard, Romans 3:10-12.
Isaiah 64:6 , 2 Corinthians 5:21 and Romans 4:5.
B. Paul preached about self-control.
C. Paul preached about judgment to come, Acts 24:15. Eternal destruction- 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9.
II. The sin that held him. Felix procrastinates Acts 24:25.
A. The world that warred in him. Felix did the Jews a favor, Acts 24:7.
B. The flesh that worked in him. Felix hoped he would be offered money, Acts 24:26.
C. The devil that worked on him, Acts 24:25.
III. The procrastination that damned him.
A. Felix miscalculated that “a more convenient” time will come. Acts 24:27 .
Mark 8:36 and Proverbs 27:1.
B. Felix miscalculated that his conviction would continue, Genesis 6:3 and Hebrews 3:7-8.  They refused His evidence therefore God had hardened their heart, John 12:37-41.
 Personal:
1. We can’t work for righteousness - only by faith, Romans 4:5.
2. Conviction comes from the Spirit of God.
3. Now is the day of salvation, Acts 4:12 and Matthew 24:44.

Intro: The Providence of God. We speak of all God’s attributes but lets concentrate on His Providence. Do you ask: Does God care - has He abandoned me?
Providence-a manifestation of divine care or direction. Providence is the dimension of His Character that makes Him care.
I. The decision of the conspirators, Acts 23:12. Unbelieving Jews plan to kill Paul, John 16:2-3.
A. How the plot was formed, Acts 23:13-15. They pretend to determine his case but it was an ambush, John 16:4.
B. How the plot was foiled, Acts 23:16. God intervenes: Paul’s nephew (who is around age 10, Acts 23:19) over hears the plot and tells, Acts 23:17-21.
II. The decision of the captain, Acts 23:22. He got it in his heart to protect Paul, Proverbs 21:1.
A. Paul is dispatched to Caesarea, Acts 23:23. Paul rides a horse, Acts 23:24. The commander intervenes for Paul, Acts 23:25-31.
B. Paul is detained at Caesarea, Acts 23:33. The governor kept Paul there rather than having him exported and tried. Paul stayed in Herod’s palace Acts 23:34-35.
Personal:
1. God works through everyday circumstances!
2. Nothing just happens. Just as God took care of Paul, He wants to take care of you (His Providence)
3. God is still in control, Proverbs 16:3 and Proverbs 16:9. We are freed up to give thanks, 1 Peter 4:12-14, 1 Peter 5:7, Job 23:10 and Isaiah 49:14-16.

Intro: A man is to be the spiritual leader of his household.
I. God’s plan for a fantastic marriage, Matthew 19:3.
Deuteronomy 24:1 and Genesis 2:24.
A. To be successful we must leave (your father/mother) Matthew 19:5.
Parents: raise them to leave- work your way out of a job.
B. To be successful we must be joined together, Matthew 19:5.
Malachi 2:16 (divorce is a violent act).
C. To be successful we must become one flesh (physically, morally and spiritually) Matthew 19:5 and Ephesians 5:28-31.
II. God’s permanence for a forever marriage, Matthew 19:6. No man has the authority to grant a divorce or judge.
A. We are not to separate what God has joined, Matthew 19:6. Only death can separate God’s marriage covenant, Malachi 2:13-16 and Romans 7:2-3.
B. We are to recognize God’s original intention, Matthew 19:7.
C. We are to understand that remarriage is adultery, Matthew 19:9, Matthew 5:32 and Luke 16:18. The marriage covenant can only be broken through death.
III. God’s pardon for a failed marriage, 1 Timothy 1:15.
A. If you have been divorced, you are not a second class citizen in God’s Kingdom:
Isaiah 1:18, 1 John 1:7 and John 8:11.
B. If you are divorced, you need to ask or give forgiveness, Proverbs 28:13.
C. If you are married, make sure you are born again and your marriage is under the Kingdom of God.
Personal:
1. Exodus 20:14.
2. Matthew 19:10.
3. A divorced person is not a second class citizen in God’s Kingdom.

Intro: Greatest problem is a moral issue.
Part of Sermon On The Mount: "logs, hogs and dogs"
I. The Christian is not to be judgmental, Matthew 7:1-2. Is one verse quoted out of context. We are to be critical in one’s thinking- 2 Peter 2:1, 2 Peter 2:18-22, John 7:24, 1 John 4:1, Matthew 7:15, Luke 6:36-37, John 5:22, and Romans 14:4.
II. The Christian is not to be hypocritical, Matthew 7:3-5 the first two words of verse 5. Illustration from carpentry shop. The hypocritical tend to be hypercritical, Romans 2:1.
III. The Christian is to be a brother, Matthew 7:5.
When you encounter a sinner: don’t write him off - try to restore him, Galatians 6:1.
BUT make sure your own vision is clear, Matthew 7:1. and 1 Corinthians 4:4-5.
Personal:
I. Let Scripture interpret Scripture.
II. Jesus wants us to change.
III. Examine my own Spiritual motivation before making a judgment on anyone.

Intro: The book of Acts is a pattern of what we should be.
1. The Apostle Paul was morally clean, Acts 23:1-5.
Conscience-the inner sense of what is right or wrong, Romans 2:15.
2. The Apostle Paul was theologically clear, Acts 23:6-9.
We (People) must see our need for healing before we can go to the Cross, Matthew 9:12.
Theologically clear life produces an uncompromising message.
3. The Apostle Paul was spiritually clothed, Acts 23:10-11.
Jesus tells Paul to take courage, solemnly witnessed here and also by planting seeds must go.
Personal:
1. Take heed of Paul’s encouragement to witness.
2. A morally clean life produces a bold witness.
3. Beware of the ecumenics (the study of the Christian church in its aspect as a worldwide Christian community) that want to blend everything together.

-EVERY BELIEVER’S JOB IS SHARING THE GOSPEL!

Intro: Of ten best lived lives - Apostle Paul would be on top. God is working out quality of humility in our lives. Humility (humble - not proud or arrogant; modest) is a character quality God wants in us.
I. Paul’s humility in his submission before God. Paul relates the things which God has done among the Gentiles through ministry. 1 Corinthians 1:26-37 and 1 Corinthians 3:5-7.
II. Paul’s humility in his submission to Christian authority Acts 21:20-23. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 Timothy 5:19.
Paul adapts his behavior- 1 Corinthians 9:19-23.
III. Paul’s humility in his submission meets the needs of others Acts 21:23-26. A positive example of compromise. Paul was willing to adjust his life style to have the opportunity to witness to the needs of other believers so they would grow in Spiritual maturity.
Personal: Tact - a keen sense of what to say or do to avoid giving offense; skill in dealing with difficult or delicate situations. I will consider you. Matthew 8:5-10 is where a Gentile understands God’s authority, submit to one another.

Intro: The church that ceases to educate is the church that ceases to exist. Bible Doctrine divides truth from error. Biblical Mothers: Deuteronomy 6:6.
I. Paul’s instruction to older (Spiritually maturity) women 1 Corinthians 10:6, 11.
A. Older women are to be reverent (Holy in her behavior) Titus 2:3.
B. Older women are not to be gossips Titus 2:3.
C. Older women are not to be enslaved to much wine (drunkards) Titus 2:3.
D. Older women are to teach that which is good (teach from mistakes) Titus 2:4.
II. Paul’s instruction to younger women.
A. Younger women are to love their own husbands Titus 2:4.
B. Younger women are to love their children Titus 2:4 and Proverbs 29:15.
C. Younger women are to be sensible (soundness of mind) Titus 2:5.
D. Younger women are to be pure Titus 2:5 and Philippians 4:8.
E. Younger women are to be workers at home (home workers) Titus 2:5, Romans 12:2 and read- Proverbs 31.
F. Younger women are to be kind Titus 2:5.
G. Younger women are to be subject to their own husbands so that the Word of God may not be dishonored Titus 2:5 and Ephesians 5:23.
Personal: To make sure that I am living in a way that honors God.
