In Psalm 10:5, it describes (as does a lot of Psalm 10) what some women that are married to unsaved husbands may describe. A Christian man must be careful to guard his heart against the feelings of being "above" his wife in a demeaning manner. In Romans 8:16-17, it tells us that we are all equal heirs in Christ. In today's sermon message, Pastor Carl discussed about the role that women should take. 1 Peter 3:6 says, "as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord..." Boy, wouldn't that go to a man's head! What does this actually mean? How does God want us to honor our husbands? In Genesis 20, we read how Sarah was treated by her husband, Abraham, when he did not sacrifice his life for his wife's but rather willingly gave his wife over to the king's men to add her to his herum. How must have Sarah felt to watch the vision of her husband vanish into the desert as he did nothing to save her and then forced to spend years as a concubine against her will knowing how filthy she must have felt before God! What would many of us wives feel about our husbands if he would have done something like that to us?! Yet, once Sarah was returned to her husband, Abraham, she did not do what many of us would've felt like doing. She didn't give him a piece of her mind but she forgave him and continued to give honor to her husband because this glorifies God. Sarah did not use the word, "Lord," in the way that she would to worship God. Nor did she use the word, "lord," to show submission to a slavemaster. Although Sarah did willingly give headship to her husband, she did not feel overpowered by him. Nor did Sarah use the word, "lord," in a fashion that would be similar to Old English terms which would be similar to the use of the word, "Mister" today. No, Sarah did not call her husband by a word that she would have used to show respect to all men. She used a word that showed honor, love and intimacy to only her husband. A practical application for today would be for all wives to forgive & continue to live with our husbands in spite of how they may hurt our feelings because this is God's will...and to call them by their pet name, such as "Honey," "Babe," "Sugar," etc....because this is glorifying to God. Likewise, men should do the same thus showing submission to one another. Ephesians 5:21 says, "Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ." While you're there in Ephesians, please read the whole chapter. It's beautiful!

Pator Broggi, this has made me to become more focus on a lot of the missing things in our marriage. This is a new way to repostion the way i looked at certain aspects of my marriage, some times it's the smallest things that we miss. Thanks a lot and may our God continue to use you.

That is a wonderful testimony. That is just like God! He does miraculous things. We are just little people in His big universe. When we don't focus on money, the Lord will bring us blessings no one else could do. Stay focused. The Lord is with those who pray and seek Him daily. Stay close to the Lord, live in Him.

Most of the Levitical laws were meant for the Levite priests and then there were the the laws given to the jewish people. Much to show that it is impossible to comply completely with it. One of those things to show how much we need God to keep up with our part of the covenant. No man is righteous not even one, only through the grace of God sending his redeemer do we Gohiim have any chance to draw near to God in relationship. We are incapable of doing it on are own. So in a nut shell Love your God with your all, love your neighbors (they are all neighbors)and the Big 10 non suggestion commandments. Obedience is better than sacrifice, so develope your relationship with Jesus and let Him convict you to do the do's so you dont have time to do the don'ts.
