The Christian’s Ambition – Part 1
Philippians 3:12-17

Intro: This reminds us that God saved us not only from something but to something – A  personal relationship with Himself.
Theme: Knowing Christ and knowing God personally.
I. A goal to reach for, Philippians 3:12. This is a contrast to what has been said. Paul wants to know the Lord more intimately, Philippians 3:10-11.
II. An example to follow, Philippians 3:13-14. Brethren refers to brothers and sisters. The goal is to pursue the goal until the day we die. Seeking to be more like Christ will glorify Christ and make a right attitude.

Personal Application:
1. The way we come to learn of Jesus Christ is through the Word of God, The Bible.
2. We can learn from imperfect people because they follow Christ, Philippians 3:17. Follow Paul’s example and pursue the same goal.
3. Get your priorities in order – Philippians 3:15-16.
To know Christ and become more and more like Him you glorify God!
