Intro: Speaks to where we live - How to live once you’re saved.
I. The display of hypocrisy.
A. The display of hypocrisy in our deeds, Matthew 6:2. Not if but when you give, Acts 20:35.
B. The display of hypocrisy in our devotion, Matthew 6:5-8. Matthew 6:9-13 illustrates model prayer.
Jesus taught how to pray Luke 11:1 and showed by example Luke 5:16.
C. The display of hypocrisy in our discipline, Matthew 6:16-18.
II. The dangers of hypocrisy.
A. Hypocrisy is dangerous because it is damning
(causing incrimination - it is rooted in idolatry) 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.
B. Hypocrisy is dangerous because it is destructive, Matthew 23:14-15 and Matthew 7:22-23.
C. Hypocrisy is dangerous because it is deceptive, Matthew 6:1. The hypocrite deceives himself.
Personal - Luke 11:2:
1. God is personal - our Father.  We pray to seek, know, and fellowship with God.
2. We pray also to worship God, not to self-glorify, complain, excite God, etc.
3. If you’re defeated by a hypocrite then you are a hypocrite - hiding behind one. You are thereby saying what is true and what is real.
