Intro: Paul was a man of tremendous courage because he was a man of tremendous conviction. A strong belief is not a wise conviction if not based on God’s Word.
I. They will have convictions. Paul’s conviction was to go to Jerusalem and preach the Word of God Acts 19:21. David had convictions, 1 Samuel 17:45-47.
II. They will spurn all diversions. A prophet named Agabus came over to Paul Acts 21:10-11. Romans 15:25-27 is the plan and Paul holds fast to his convictions Acts 20:22.
III. They will sacrifice at any cost Acts 21:11-15. Paul did not leave from Jerusalem until The Lord told him Acts 22:18. Paul is told to ’Take Courage’- Acts 23:11.
Personal: What convictions will I live and die by? Sometimes you can have a conviction and others will say ’no’. Follow God! The Will of God is most important.
