These were his instructions to them:The harvest is so great, but the workers are so few. Pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest, and ask him to send out more workers for his fields. Luke 10:2
God wants you to become an effective witness leading people to Christ.
1 Peter 3:13 We are to witness with a zeal for good. Zeal- enthusiastic devotion to a cause, Matthew 5:14-16 ’in such a way’
1 Peter 3:14 We are to witness with a boldness in suffering. (The world can hurt but not harm you. Matthew 10:28) Psalm 56:4, Matthew 5:10-12
1 Peter 3:15 We are to witness with Christ set apart in our hearts. Sanctify the Lord and sanctify Christ. (It is the Lord of hosts whom you should regard as holy. (Isaiah 8:13a) Revelation 2:4, Revelation 2:5 Be careful not to forget your first love for Christ, repent and do what you did at first.
1 Peter 3:15 We are to witness with a defense to those who ask. We’ve become experts in daily tasks but often fail to learn the basics of witnessing to those who will ask- with gentleness, meekness, and reverence. Mark 16:15
1 Peter 3:16 We are to witness with a clear conscious. A clear and clean life gives power to our witness. Acts 24:16
How committed are you to the basics? Never leave the basics behind. Revelation 2:5
Is Jesus Christ your first love or have you lost your first love?
Make Christ the priority of your heart.
